the gospel is not just some easy nice little thing that we can just accept. it goes against the grain, why, because it is not about us, but about God. It does not just say what we want it to say, and so will say somehting that we in our selfishness will struggle with. thus it causes us to stumble. thus it causes us to open our eyes to that which is outside of ourselves.....maybe.
